North Baltimore is a thriving, historic community, nestled at the "Crossroads of the Heartland" in southern Wood County, just west of  I-75  (St. Rt. 18  intersection). The town has a history rich in education, religion, and farming; and a robust heritage typical of the early railroading and oil boom days dating to 1860.

The community also has an outstanding educational system, which includes North Baltimore High School and Middle School and the recently expanded E. A. Powell Elementary School.  Higher education facilities consisting of The University of Findlay and Owens State Community College (Findlay) to the south, and Bowling Green State University, Owens State Community College (Perrysburg), and The University of Toledo to the north; are only  minutes away.
